Uprawr Mental Health Foundation

Here to help.

  • At UPRAWR Mental Health Foundation we offer free mental health support and counselling to people between the ages of 18 and 35 who relate to the rock and alternative music scene with which the UPRAWR brand has become synonymous.

    UPRAWR launched nine years ago as a rock, pop punk and metal club night. In that time we’ve operated across the UK, opened music studios and launched a music publishing company.


    During those years we’ve seen mental health become a prominent issue within our musical community and feel strongly that more should to be done to offer help and support.

  • We believe life should be enjoyed; that no one should have to face their problems alone.

    By speaking out and facing it together we can overcome those stigmas attached to mental health.


    If we all know we're in it together, we all know we're not alone – no matter how big or small your issues, we're here to talk.

    Our trustees are dedicated to providing the best service imaginable, with expertise in the music industry, mental health sector and charity work.

    Tony Iommi, guitarist with Black Sabbath is our first patron in a growing list of supporters. Tony, like us, recognises that within the world of rock music, mental health is growing ever more prominent.

    We've put together an incredible team of ambassadors. From industry leaders to film stars, this amazing group is making sure we've got all bases covered, lending their names – and the trust people have in them – to help us.
  • Volunteers
    Volunteers are the life blood of any charity and very soon we'll be asking YOU to get involved. We’ll need help with everything from social media to fundraising, so if you’d like to join our volunteers please drop us a message. All updates will be posted on Facebook – so keep a lookout!
