Taking place on 18th August 2024 at Utilita Arena, Birmingham, 1000 musicians performed alongside a collection of rock legends to raise funds for the UPRAWR Mental Health Foundation.

An arena floor full of 1000 musicians playing and singing along to Linkin Park songs, such as ‘Numb’ and ‘In The End’, alongside members of some of the most iconic rock bands, such as Bullet For My Valentine, The Blackout, Funeral For A Friend, Mallory Knox and loads more! The participants who raised the most money for each instrument category also got the opportunity to play on stage alongside these rock legends to a packed Utilita Arena, a once in a lifetime experience.

Thanks to our wonderful participants and their hard work fundraising, 1000 Lights was a huge success, raising over £120,000 for our cause, meaning we could provide over 2000 hours of free counselling to members of the alternative community. And of course, we couldn’t have done it without every single person who participated, including our 1000 musicians, our volunteers, the bands who performed.

1000 Lights was incredibly meaningful to us here at UMHF, and so many of our participants. It created a safe space for likeminded people all having fun together and uniting for a cause, and above all else, it created a community.

We can’t wait to do it all over again, but of course, bigger and better this time.
